Review request text messages
Businesses use HiFiveStar to ask their own customers for a review after a visit or a purchase. Messages go only to people who gave that business permission to text them. Here is exactly how that permission is collected, what the messages look like, and how to stop them.
How customers opt in
Permission comes from the business's own relationship with its customer, and HiFiveStar will not send without it.
The business asks its customer directly
At the counter, on a booking or service form, or when the visit is arranged, the business asks whether it may text the customer about leaving a review — and records that permission when it adds the customer to HiFiveStar.
The wording the customer agrees to
“Can we text you once to ask for a review of your visit? Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We never share your number.”
This is the script the business uses at the counter, and the same wording appears beside the consent tick-box on a booking or intake form. Permission is recorded against that one customer, for that one business, and is never transferred, shared, or reused by another business on HiFiveStar.
HiFiveStar refuses the send without it
Before any review request goes out, the business must confirm this in the dashboard. The confirmation is checked on our servers, not just in the page, so a request submitted without it is rejected rather than queued.
Confirm you have the receiver's consent to message these contacts
The box is never pre-ticked, and it must be ticked again for every send — including a bulk upload, where it covers every contact in the file.
What the messages say
Every text names the business, carries one review link, and carries a one-tap way out.
Hi Ana, thanks for visiting Bayside Dental! We'd love a quick review: https://go.hifivestar.com/bayside-dental
STOP: https://go.hifivestar.com/stop/2f41c8
Hi Sam, thanks for choosing Corner Barbershop. Tell us how we did: https://go.hifivestar.com/corner-barbershop
STOP: https://go.hifivestar.com/stop/9be07a
The STOP link opens a page for that business where one tap ends its messages. Replying STOP to the text works too. Either way the opt-out is recorded against that customer, and the business can no longer message them.
The terms of the program
Message frequency varies — typically one message after a completed visit or purchase, plus any reminder the business has chosen to send.
Message and data rates may apply.
To stop: tap the STOP link in any message, or reply STOP. Either one ends messages from that business immediately.
For help: reply HELP, or email support@hifivestar.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
HiFiveStar is operated by XAscend LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Text messages are delivered via Twilio.
